Holiness Unto the Lord

The Relationship Market Place

In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 5:1

This train seems to be moving so fast!
Every time I scroll through Instagram, all I see are people finding their people—looking all happy, soft, glowing, and yummy.

Meanwhile, here I am on my couch, wondering if this train is ever going to stop by my house.
Like… hello? Is my stop on the route or nah?
Is it too much to ask?
A man who genuinely loves the Lord… a man who fears God, honors Him, and serves Him with his whole heart?

I refuse—absolutely refuse—to join the bandwagon that says all men are scum.
No. My Father has sons. Sons who have not bowed their knees to Baal. Sons who worship in spirit and in truth. Sons who are being conformed daily into the image of Christ.

So let me go ahead and get my behind off this couch instead of sitting here sulking and moping like Boaz is supposed to magically find me in my blanket and bonnet.

Ruth didn’t sit on her couch all day waiting to be found.
She got up and worked.
She served with her whole heart.
She honored the God of her mother-in-love, Naomi.
She listened, she learned, she grew, she obeyed.
Oh, Ruth served!

And Esther?
Esther learned that being with her king wasn’t just butterflies and blushes.
Her marriage carried a divine assignment—one Heaven had orchestrated to silence the plans of the enemy for generations.

Esther rose—gracefully, gallantly—to the moment she had been preparing for in her waiting.
Sis didn’t just wait; she prepared.
A whole year bathing in spiritual and physical oil so that when her king saw her, he was mesmerized.
Covered in the favor of God.
Radiating glory.
Chosen and crowned.

So arise, baby girl!
For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
Stop moping around. Stop sulking.
Live. Thrive. Shine.

You shall be married.
No longer shall you be called desolate.
Your land shall be called Beulah—married, delighted in, celebrated.

Shalom.
